Cravings Again

Asides moments of poetry in my life, food cravings play a huge role in it. When i was in vienna i craved nigerian food, when i left i craved the Doner kebabs and the sausages. when  I moved to nigeria, i craved good ole american bbq and fastfood settings.

Cravings ! Cravings!  Cravings.. i probably spend more than 30 percent of my internet time on food and food research. You know some times i wish i had gone to school for it, but then it may not be as interesting discovering new techniques and spices and also thats the best excuse for the blunders.. "hey i studied accounting"

fastfarward to now

KaiserKrainer  Is the KING of Sausages. I cant even begin to describe what it is or what it tastes like but i am googling recipes and i am definitely going to attempt to make it.

Google it and read for your self

They are legendary

  1. So, I wanted to sample something...anything from your grill and the craving had been with me for a few days. After coming to your blog yesterday for the umpteenth time, I decided to call in and place an order over the telephone. That was the only way to appease the god of guts resident in me...hehehe!

I was pretty impressed with the way the conversation went seeing it has become a pathetic case speaking with some customer service reps on the phone in Lagos just to place an order. I mean, I was particularly disappointed just last week when I called one of the very new food places in Lagos to place an order for pizzas to share with my work colleagues. A screeching voice with diction everywhere welcomed me and the attendant basically reeled out the script non-nonchalantly. It was a nightmare but...oops, I digress.

Back to track, the gentleman that took my call at your place spoke exceptionally well and the ordering process was indeed a pleasant experience. I could bare wait so had to call back to find out the where about of my meal since the 30 minutes stipulated time of arrival had expired. Again, I was pacified warmly by the man at the other end of the line and no sooner, the delivery guy pressed the door bell of the office.

Alas, my meal was here and I savoured every juicy moment I spent devouring it. The prawns were huge and succulent and the turkey was simply a wonderful delight to my soul. However, the coleslaw had gone warm before it got to me.

I'd recommend cold stuffs be packed separately from hot meals. I can understand the rationale behind putting one order all in one place (to avoid getting it all muddled up by the delivery guy) but I wasn't happy seeing a sweaty cold can of coke right next to my meal.

Asides this, it was a finger licking experience right to the very last bone!

The sauce..oh the sauce was so on point. I loved the jerk kick in it.

Sorry I know this is no longer a comment a post in itself...lol!

Nice one guys...I’ll be back! :-)
